There is more than just adding some filters on Instagram or adding some crazy Color-Correction from a random app that you found on the Google Play store. Today I selected my top 5 for my best and most professional-like photo editing apps for your Android and why not your Iphone .
5-Adobe Photoshop Express (Adobe Systems)
Dear, dear, dear Photoshop. The ultimate weapon for any photographer comes to play in a reduced form for phone users. As you can already expect is not as advanced as his giant brother, but with this app you can still edit and share photos almost as a no-brainier. You can crop, rotate, add some beautiful artistic effects, red eye, and even add a soft focus effect to simulate the popular Depth Of Field. Very easy to use, user friendly interface, and very good when it comes to performance, very limited. Not the best if you are looking for a stunning, game-changing picture. Recommended for those who look for simple tweaks to their pictures. Give it a try !!!
4-AfterFocus (Motionone)
Oh boy, this right here is the perfect app if you are looking for those jaw-dropping portrait pictures. As the name states, it allows you to apply natural focus (depth of field look) to your pictures. Basically, all you have to do is draw white lines for the parts you want to focus on, draw gray lines for the equilibrium between the foreground and the background, and finally add the black lines to let the app know what part is going to be the background (the blurred part). After the focus areas are recognized you can add effects like adding a motion blur effect, a color mask, vignette, color corrections, bokeh effect, or simply setting up the amount of blur you prefer. It works fantastic, very fast, useful for those up-close pictures or simply by focusing on the characters of the picture. The only issues are that the free version has a limited resolution (800x600), disabled the option to use "Edge Softening", and it is only free on Google Play (which to this day I still don't understand). From auto-adjusting your favorite picture to adding the most exquisite light overlays and filters. It is the best app out there ladies and gentlemen. Pick from more than 600 effects, overlays, borders. Quickly crop, re-size, and fix any picture, remove red-eye, and whiten teeth. All that for free. Can't say enough about this app....quit reading this post and immediately go and download this piece of magic !!!!

Besides tweaking images, I find Sumopaint to be useful in creating simple logos using the text and brush tools.
